Today we have arrived at Maggie’s, Kopila Valley Children’s Home. Just a few minutes away is a small town that we passed through, I have to admit it’s a little bit odd being stared at because of your color.
The kids here at Kopila are really nice and they make me feel very at home, but in their home. I share a room with Sigy, Nisha & Sanju,… but then Goma & Bindu came in, so now all six of us sleep there. The food is interesting, it’s not bad just different, a good different. Holi is coming soon, (Holi = Celebration of color) you throw colored pigment at each other. We are going to the beach to celebrate Holi. Tomorrow we are getting traditional clothes made, which will be exciting. Oh yes and we are going to school…On break. This morning we painted on the roof, and that was fun, we do so many activities, it is so tiring, and you can’t get any privacy, but the kids are so nice that it is worth it. -Odessa
What a wonderful time with the children, fellows and aunties at the Kopila Home. Goats like the Holi Celebration too. :>)
Doe and Norris send our love and excitement.
Love, love, love the pictures and your journal! It’s as if we are there with you. Thank you so much.
Much love,
Dad and Doris
It looks so fun and I love the pictures – I’m peeking on my own but will show the girls soon xx
