Following the 14 hour plane ride we landed in Beijing around 3:00 p.m.
Though slightly tired, the whole group was eager to get to Beijing and
explore the city. On the way to Beijing’s city center, we were told by
one of our group leaders that traffic is normal in Beijing and often
slows locals down to where they need to be. After about an hour bus
ride, the group arrived at the hotel and settled into their rooms.
After seeing the hotel the group headed out to get dinner. Incredibly
hungry, we found a delicious restaurant in an amazing food court in a
local Beijing mall. After dinner, the group walked home to get some
sleep before practicing tai chi early the next morning.
