Cooking Class with Elizabeth and Jason

Here is some comments from our Bakers:

Today in our cooking club we made chocolate chip cookies. It was a fun experience, because we got to connect with our friends. We were laughing and making jokes. Making the cookies was fun. We mixed ingredients together and had fun disputing over who was going to put in what ingredient. Our team was in charge of mixing the dry ingredients. We started laughing because we spilled the flour and had to clean it up over and over again. This experience also gave me an opportunity to talk to people who I dont usually talked to.

Today in the cooking elective we made chocolate-chip cookies. It was fun because I was able to interact with people I do not normally interact with. We cracked many jokes and played different common games while enjoying the aroma of the cookies. I find baking extremely interesting and fun, especially when done with friends. One of the things that we demonstrated was teamwork. One group did the dry ingredients and the other did the wet. I enjoyed this elective and would definetly do it again.

During this cooking class we baked cookies and shared the responsibility of making dough, shaping cookies, and mushing together all of the ingredients. After figuring out the recipe, we split up into two groups: wet and dry. Those groups conquered the individual steps of the process of making the dough, and then combined the two bowls. We used big spoons and hand mixed all of the incredients. Then when the dough was done, we took smaller spoons and made little balls of dough, and put them onto the large trays.

Today we made cookies! We used the Toll House Recipe. To start we mixed the wet ingredients in a big mixing bowl, and the dry in a smaller bowl. After both were combined, the dry ingredients were dumped into the wet ingredients, and the chocolate chips were added. Then it was time to shape the cookies. Rather than shaping them with our hands, we used 2 spoons to make them into small round pancakes. Then they were off to the ovens for 15 minutes on 375 degrees. Now it’s time to eat.

On the first day of Cooking Club, we all made chocolate chip cookies. We had a lot of fun, and we split up into 2 tables. Every table followed the same recipie to make delicious chocolate chip cookies. Every table split up into 2 groups, one to mix the dry ingrediants, and one to mix the wet. We talked about our favorite cooking shows and other cooking-related things.

On the first day of cooking club 2013 we made chocolate chip cookies. I might not be a fan
of chocolate, but making it is a whole lotta fun. For all of you that missed out on the fantastic first
day, I would highly recommend it. first we split up into dry table and wet table. The dry table had the
dry ingrediants and the wet table… you guessed it… the wet ingrediants. We had lots of fun, cooking,
talking, attempting to share documents and photos with eachother. I highly recommend it.

Today, we made cookies. They smelled really good. However, I was unable to eat the dough due to health and safety regulations. I was also unable to lick the spoons. :'(
