Today I interviewed Sofia Gallo (8th Grade), about our trip to Cold Spring Harbor!
Beatrice: So where did you go on your field trip?
Sofia: We went to Cold Spring Harbour. It’s somewhere upstate I think?…
Beatrice: How was it for you personally?
Sofia: It was kinda cold, but it was fun because we got to do things that you wouldn’t normally do, and we got to perform, um, Nobel prize winning experiments, I uh think?
Beatrice: Did you enjoy it?
Sofia: Sure. I had fun, but the bus ride was SOOO long…
Beatrice: What were some things you learned while you were there?
Sofia: We learned about viruses and how they spread, and um, how they work. And I thought that was kinda cool, and um, we got to learn about something, what was I gonna say? Oh, some parts of a science experiment, and that was interesting.
Beatrice: If you could go back, would you? Why?
Sofia: Yeah cease it was a Nobel peace prize experiment, and like when else would I get to do that?
Beatrice: Do you regret going there? If yes, why?
Sofia: No I don’t regret it.
Beatrice: Do you think you will use any of these skills in your future outside of school? Why or why not?
Sofia: No, it’s too extreme, and I don’t really like to do that kind of stuff.
