The LEGO Movie has made quite the impact on the movie world with $69 million made in its first weekend! It follows the journey of a construction worker, Emmett (Chris Pratt), who lives a systematic life under the instruction book of Lord Business (Will Ferrel), who wants to make the world perfect in his own image. Emmett suspects nothing until he finds the legendary “Piece of Resistance”, which sends him into a crazy journey with the master builder Wyldstyle (W, who can create anything out of LEGOs with no instructions). With Wyldstyle, he meets the wise sage master builder, Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), who tells him of the prophecy and how he is the foretold “Special”, meaning that Emmett must stop Lord Business and save the LEGO world.
I absolutely loved this movie! It was funny, creative, imaginative, and one of the best animated movies I have ever scene. The way that they make everything out of LEGOs, even the explosions, is so interesting and you want to go again so you can inspect and marvel every inch of the screen. This is definitely a must-see of 2014, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes of future classic! Anyone who loves LEGOs and played with them as a kid (or still now), should definitely see this movie, as the song goes, everything is awesome!
