Captain America: The Winter Soldier premiered this past Friday and what an impact did it make! With $96.2 million earned just in America on its opening weekend, it set the record for most earned during opening weekend in the month of April! This movie continues Steve Rogers’ familiarization with the modern world, while working along with Black Widow completing missions for S.H.I.E.L.D. All is going pretty well for our hero, until he realizes that there are things about S.H.I.E.L.D. that he doesn’t know. But, when the mysterious hit man and assassin, The Winter Soldier, attacks Nick Fury, Captain America is plunged into an all-new action packed adventure.
This movie was excellent! With its action-packed plot, cool technical gadgets, and old and new enemies, this is one of Marvel’s strongest films. It isn’t as great as The Avengers, but it’s still great! This movie definitely is PG-13, though. Make sure you don’t overlook the rating just because Captain America is a super hero. I would give this movie a 9 out of 10 stars. And, if you do decide to go see it, make sure you stay for the after-credits scenes, they both set up future Marvel movies to come, including Avengers: Age of Ultron!
