Two weeks ago, the eighth grade went on an overnight trip to Camp Mason in Hardwick, New Jersey. It was great fun! We climbed walls, rowed canoes, ate s’mores around the campfire, and hiked up the second-tallest mountain in New Jersey. Below is a photo narration of the two days.
The first thing we did was wall climbing, as you see below.

We also had a canoe excursion on the camp lake, during which most of us fell into the water.
We spent that night in cozy cabins, and the following morning, we climbed a nearby mountain. At the top, we rested while groups climbed a fire tower, which rangers use to survey the forest and report fires.
And here are some pictures taken from the top of the tower:
All in all, it was an extremely rewarding experience! The current seventh-graders should definitely look forward to it, and let’s hope the tradition continues for years to come!
