Last Friday the boys seventh and eight grade soccer team had a game against Berkley Carroll. It was the teams’s first game, and would set the bar for the rest of the season. The owls lined up in a 4,3,3, formation, and right away delivered a quick goal. Soon after they scored two more goals in quick succesion. The boys went into halftime with a 3:0 lead, thinking they had the game in the bag. They were wrong. Berkley Carroll scores two goals right out of the gate, and were suddenly back in the game. Late into the second half a Berkley Carroll striker broke free, and a goal seemed inevitable. However, one Friends Seminary defender fouled him, and saved a goal. Friends came out with a 3:2 win.
