Two weeks ago the 7/8 Grade Boys’ Soccer Team played Packer, the team which has defeated us again and again. Our team did not expect to win, but we still tried as hard as we could, and we pulled off a brilliant victory!
Right at the onset, Packer scored, and many thought we were done right there. However, Kiran scored an excellent goal off of Martin’s corner kick, tying the score at 1-1. A few minutes later, Packer shot at our goal, but our goalie, Lucas, made a spectacular save. Then it was halftime. The ball went back and forth over the next half, and by the time the game was almost over, we all expected a tie. But with only a minute to go, Rocco made a great pass to Martin, who pulled off an impossible goal straight through four defenders and the Packer goalie, bringing the score to 2-1, Friends, and defeating Packer for the first time in years. Congratulations to the soccer team!
