Two weeks ago, the seventh grade had a chance to meet with the former editor of the news section of the New York Times, Jill Abramson. Because we are doing our advocacy projects in class, we thought it would be a good opportunity to speak to her because she is involved with editing and writing stories about some of the worlds biggest things to advocate about. She told us about a few different projects she worked with, like the conditions of girl’s education in Afghanistan, and the issue of homelessness in our own city. We thank Jill for giving us a very interesting occasion that we’re sure will help us with our advocacy projects.
