Puzzle #6

Here we are with THE LAST PUZZLE!!! Whoever has earned the most puzzle points after this puzzle is over will be announced in Morning Meeting and interviewed for the Blog! In the lead is Amelia Ostrow, 7th Grade, closely trailed by Kyra Kwok and Karina Burnett, 8th Grade. And it is not a runaway! Any of these girls could easily be our winner!…

Since the questions from last week were so long, I’m not going to write them out–just the answers.

1. These letters are grouped in terms of symmetry. The first group is symmetrical horizontally and vertically. The second is symmetrical only vertically, the third is symmetrical only horizontally, and the fourth is symmetrical neither horizontally nor vertically.

2. The next number is 23. “One” has three letters, “three” has five (+2), “eleven” has six (+1), “thirteen” has eight (+2), and “seventeen” has nine (+1). Thus the next number must have two more letters than “seventeen”. In ascending order, the next number with eleven letters is twenty-three.

3. “Abominable” = “A bomb in a bull”

4. “Noble” = “No bull”

And now for the final puzzle! Please read the instructions carefully before doing it in order to avoid confusion. To view the puzzle, click here. Good luck!
