As you all know, on Wednesdays (once a month) the seventh and eighth graders have choices. Usually, one the of the choices offered is cooking (typically with Elizabeth and Shirin or Aude). It is so much fun and the best part is the food that you get to eat afterwards. We always make something that can be completed within the period, so if you’re interested in making something, ask Elizabeth. Previously, we made Turkish poğaça (a pastry made with cheese or meat), rosewater lemonade and ayran (a yogurt drink). In the past we’ve made dumplings (for Chinese New Year), cupcakes, among other things. It’s a lot of fun and if you’re interested, you should come check it out!
