A Christmas Carol Review

As part of our holiday movie poll event, the blog is reviewing the middle school’s favorite and least favorite movies. First, the least favorite, A Christmas Carol.

The movie A Christmas Carol, an animated family holiday movie starring Jim Carrey, is about a heartless greedy old man, Ebenezer Scrooge. Seven years after his partner, Jacob Marley, died, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of Marley and is told that he must become nicer and to become so, three spirits must visit him; the ghost of christmas past, present, and future. Scrooge goes on three amazing funny adventures with these spirits, and begins to learn the true meaning of Christmas.

This movie is based off of the book by Charles Dickens, and, unlike other movies based on books, is very accurate. Although Disney adds their own fantastical twists, it never decreases the quality movie and only increases it. I’m not sure why this movie had no votes, because it was not bad at all. Other movies on the poll were better than this one, but I liked it a lot. If you haven’t seen this movie, it’s a great holiday movie to watch with your family, and you should see it if you can, although it’s not the best holiday movie ever.
