After postponing game four of the ALCS yesterday the Tigers came out swinging. Yankees had their ace CC Sabathia ready and rearing to keep the Yankees in the Playoffs for at least one more game. But Max Scerzer and the Tigers had different ideas. The Tigers quickly scored a run on a single by Delmon Young in the bottom of the first. Then two innings later the Tigers widened the gap a little more to 2-0. In the fourth Sabathia fell apart. It started with a two run homer by Mr. Miguel Cabrera making the score 4-0 then Johnny Peralta followed up and brought the run count of CC Sabathia in the game to six runs. The Yankees made one final push for a longer time in this 2012 Postseason but they fell way short, only scoring one run on a double by Swisher. Two more runs later the Tigers sent the Yankees to work on their putting game. The NLCS might be coming to a close with the Cardinals leading the Giants 3 games to 1. With game 5 coming up we might soon find out who the Tigers will be going head to head with in the World Series.
Quick Fact: If the Tigers with the World Series then the 4 teams that made it to their league’s championship will have been the four last teams to win the World Series. The Cardinals: 2011, Giants: 2010, and the Yankees: 2009.
