    Imagine if the woman who had the vision to do something about these animal’s abuse never acted upon it? The researchers and volunteers who now help support the refuge have all been brought together because an individual decided to do something. Did you have a chance to meet the founder and learn the history of how the sanctuary came to be?

  2. Elinor, both your words and your photographs are eloquent expressions of the plight of elephants and the ways in which the organization is making a difference. I was fascinated by all the details of feeding, washing, and medical care that you described. I also loved that you included at least one photo taken by a child in the school where you volunteered! Great idea to let the students explore the camera! Thank you for sharing this worthwhile experience in such a creative way.
