Jovan’s service reflection

For my community service requirement this year, my most memorable service experience was when I went bowling with Middle Schoolers as part of a diversity mentoring program. Part of my job throughout this service was to make sure that all of the kids from different ethnic backgrounds were working together as teams and also having fun bowling together. This service experience helped me become a better group leader and coordinator. My chaperone, Cynthia Chalker, left it up to me and two other seniors to get the kids organized and make sure we made fair teams so that everyone could have fun. I really enjoyed working with the kids, they always remind me of how fun that time of being a Middle Schooler was and I enjoyed helping the kids have fun with one another.
