At the end of this summer, the boys and girls varsity soccer teams flew down to Trinidad and Tobago for an extension of preseason and as an opportunity to help out the community. It was the second time we had gone, and the experience was amazing. The kids there really looked up to us to teach them the game and help them out with drills. I even made friends with a few of the kids that were my age! Giving out the equipment was probably the best part. The look on their faces when they see the pair that they have been longing for is priceless. It was an unforgettable experience and it really opened my eyes to different communities around the world, some cannot even get cleats that they want. It also brought the team much closer with one another which is very helpful for the season.
