Project Overview

As part of this course, students examined the different ways in which art and expression have been used as vehicles through which to speak truth to power and advocate for social justice.  The final project for the course allows students to take a more active role in the creative process of identifying and developing legitimate commentary.  Students were charged with developing some form of media representation which directly addresses, and thereby brings attention to, a particular cause, movement, or issue directed at promoting social justice.
