This past Friday, the sequel to the 2012 blockbuster The Amazing Spider-Man came out and we have the scoop on it right here! The Amazing Spider-Man 2 continues to follow the story of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) as he learns more about his past through the story of his parents, and how he juggles both his normal life and his adventures as Spider-Man. Just as Peter’s life gets even more complicated with trouble in his relationship with Gwen (Emma Stone), his girlfriend, and learning unknown truths about his parents, a new villain emerges in the form of Electro (Jamie Foxx).
This movie was a great sequel to its successor, and definitely added to the overall plot of the new Spider-Man franchise. With many exciting action sequences, and a very surprising ending, this was a pleasure to watch. The acting was overall great and really well-performed, even though Dane DeHaan’s Harry Osborn did seem a little forced. I would suggest this movie to anyone who saw the first and liked it, but it’s definitely no Avengers. I would give this movie 7.5/10.
