As an extension of their Peace Week experience, Odessa and Sigy, Friends Seminary students will be travelling to Nepal to spend some time with Maggie Doyne and the Kopila Valley School. Follow along, as they interact with the children and learn more about Maggie’s work through the BlinkNow Foundation.

What a wonderful experience to visit Nepal, an even more to see what school is like there. I can’t wait to hear about what you see, and then hear about your experiences and thoughts about all of those things.

I think this might be an area where they do “throat singing”,where you hear two pitches sung by one person. ( I used to be able to do it –had a class at Juilliard where the teacher taught us how.)
Anyway, ANYTHING you can find out about the music of Nepal will be of great interest for both of you, and I would love to hear every detail. You are both natural musicians, and have such an affinity for both music and singing, this would be a very interesting and exciting area for you young ladies to ask about.
