We’ve arrived!

Today we arrived in Katmandu, Nepal. It took twenty-two hours, two planes, three busses, and a car drive to get here, plus there were always those hours of waiting at the airport, but it was worth it. My dad (William) knows a guy, who’s cousin owns a hotel here, that’s where we are staying. They are all so nice here, and the people who own the hotel (Michel & Pujan) are showing us around the city, for dinner they took us to Pujan’s Uncle’s restaurant, it’s right around the corner from the Hotel. That’s another thing, everybody knows each other here, like tomorrow Michel’s friend is helping us get some traditional Nepaliclothes made.Another thing about their Uncle’s restaurant, is that it has been in the family for over two-hundred years, it used to be a house, but at the end of the day when we left the restaurant, the gave us little hand painted masks as souvenirs. We also met some of Pujanand Michel’s friends, Nancy and Nick, they were both really cool, but in all our first day in Nepal one we’ll never forget. -Odessa
