Welcome to Art + Shop 2025

Kindergarten through fourth grade have been in a creative storm; busy being makers and artists! Our youngest students are working with Isabel, exploring how their hands can mold, sculpt, tear, and piece together materials such as clay, wood, and paper.

First graders are cutting wood and designing elaborate structures that stand up, flap, or hold weight. Second graders have just completed their annual God’s Love We Deliver bags and are beginning their French Accordion books. After narrating their stories visually, they will explore reduction printmaking techniques to extend their ideas. Third grade students have been busy working on their animal step stools!

Fourth graders are beginning their study of Michelangelo and The Sistine Chapel, examining how his frescoes capture action, emotion, and story. Using visual literacy skills, students interpret these gestures and movements, then create their own narrative artworks inspired by our shared Quaker tenets.

We invite you to reach out to your children and ask them about their creative endeavors; the studios are truly humming with imagination and purpose!
